Our sanctuary isn’t normally open to the public, but on select Sundays through the summer, we’re opening the hatches so you can connect with the incredible rescued animals who call the ranch home. Each "Lazy Sunday" features a one-of-a-kind, once-a-year activity, so no two are the same!

What to Expect:

• A new activity at each open visit day!

• Mingle with rescued goats, pigs, cows, chickens, a llama, and more!

• Meet our resilient crew with mobility challenges and see first hand how they're thriving today.

• Discover each animal’s unique rescue story.

• Feel the joy and connection animals bring into our lives.

• Shop Lazy J Rescue Ranch merch and show your support in style!

• Bring quarters for our treat machine & cash for animal snack bags.

• Feel free to bring your own (animal cruelty-free) snacks, drinks, chairs, and blankets.

• Bug spray is highly recommended, this is Iowa, after all!

• Please leave your personal pets at home. As much as we’d love to meet them, this is the animals’ safe space and we want to keep their stress levels low.

• $5 donation per person – all proceeds go directly toward helping the rescued animals live their best lives.
